Child Development- Issues and Challenges

Abstract

Children are the prominent assets of any civilization. Development of children is urgent because a sound child is the foundation of sound individual.  Child development is necessary for ensuring the capable population that will contribution in the national development. No country can make progress until their human beings are not developed in the every area of life. Children are the prominent human capital for the incoming generation. There are various obstacles in the way of child development such as infant mortality rate (IMR), malnutrition among children, lack of education, child labour, child dieses, lack of child protection etc. Government of India has implemented various schemes for the child development. People should be aware all these schemes so that they can ensure proper development of their children.
