ERCD: Energy and Memory Dynamic Clone Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks

Varadi Lakshmi

Abstract

In this scheme, an energy-efficient location-aware clone detection protocol is proposed in densely deployed WSNs, which can guarantee successful clone attack detection and maintain satisfactory network lifetime. Specifically, we exploit the location information of sensors and dynamically select witnesses located in a mesh area to verify the legitimacy of sensors and to report detected clone attacks. The mesh structure facilitates energy-efficient data forwarding along the path towards the source and the sink. We also propose the clone detection for mobile nodes in the mesh network using location estimation and simulation results are plotted for both static and dynamic network.
