Traditional Conflict Resolution Mechanisms among Ambo Woreda Communities

Abstract


Accordingly, conflicts have been resolved through knowledgeable and respected elders, religious leaders, marriage relationships, ceremonies observed by the community, women reconciliation mechanisms, and highly respected and feared clan leaders. However, for better resolution of conflicts in the communities the study calls for better encouragement, support and duly recognition of traditional mechanisms.
