A Study of Literary Feminist Themes in The Awakening By Kate Chopin
Abstract
The Awakening, novelis written at the end of the 19th century in America. In the 19th century in America and Europe, men and women were expected to fill the distinct domain of the society, where men were expected to live a public life that is the common life of the people and women were supposed to do the household duties such as the housebound, cooking, taking care of children and husband.
