Laws Relating to Child Abuse in India

Abstract

Our country is fighting hard against the problem of Child abuse in the one form or the other. India is among the top five countries in the ranking related to crime against children. Though we have lots of national legislations on this subject and being signatory to various international covenants and declarations are also there but still nothing works out. This paper aims at discussion over the problem of Child abuse. This paper also talks about various provisions relating to child abuse in India. There is a need to look into this matter on the priority basis and channelize the things accordingly to deal with the problem effectively.
