Abstract


Motivation is the set of forces that initiate behavior and determine its form, direction, intensity and duration. Motivation plays a very important role in influencing an individual to become an entrepreneur. Thus the present study is based on the motivational factors that influenced micro, small and medium entrepreneurs. The objective of this study is to determine the factors that motivate individuals to start their own business. MSME entrepreneurs in the present study were predominantly motivated by factors such as recognition and independence. The data were collected from 200 respondents with the help of a questionnaire from the MSME entrepreneurs, from four districts in Haryana (India)
