Trends in Employment and Poverty in Bundelkhand Region: Evidence from a unit record data

Abstract


The paper is motivated by concerns about the persistent poverty and unemployment in Bundelkhand region, despite the anti-poverty measures like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (Act), Public Distribution System (PDS) etc. The paper examines the pace of poverty and unemployment reduction during the last decade.
