Impact of Demonetization on Indian Economy

Abstract


Demonetization means withdrawal of specific type of currency from movement in circle. In demonetization the earliest unit should be removed and changed with a latest currency unit. If we talk about the history of demonetized currency it was first demonetized in 1946 and then in 1978. In Nov 2016, the third attempt regarding demonetization of currency was taken by Modi government and this attempt proved to bring the betterment for the economy and the country. In this paper I want to discuss about the effects of current demonetization on Indian economy.
