Stratified Fluid and Perturbation State of Suspended Particles

Vivek Parkash

Abstract

We will discuss the perturbation state of stratified fluid in the presence of suspended particles and variable magnetic field  confined between free boundaries at  and . In the presence of factors such as  suspended particles, magnetic field, and magnetic viscosity introduces oscillatory modes in the system which are otherwise non-existent. When instability sets in an stationary convection, the suspended particles and magnetic viscosity are found to have, respectively destabilizing and stabilizing effects on the thermal instability of the system.
