Arithmetic, Geometry & Algebra- A Historical View

Abstract

To learn mathematics, it is important to learn the history of science. Learning mathematics through its historical development is essential for creating the interest among the students. Using history to teach mathematics makes the study not only motivating & exciting but more significant to a bulk of students as they are interested in knowing the who, how and why about certain laws, prepositions, definitions that they use daily in their regular studies. The present study is an attempt to learn the basic laws of arithmetic, geometry and algebra by considering the historical facts about them.
