Abstract


The clay and non-clay minerals have been identified by XRD analysis. Illite is the most dominant component in the clay mineral assemblages. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the distribution of clay minerals in the surface sediments of lacustrine from the viewpoint of clay stability.
