Mapreduce Programming Paradigm in Cloud Environment for Large-Scale Data Mining

Abstract

Massive amount of data is produced of late. Such data is known as big data with characteristic such as volume, velocity, variety and value. Such data when mined can provide comprehensive business intelligence. However, the problem with big data is that it needs storage measures in peta bytes and huge computational power to process it. Cloud computing is the perfect solution to storage and mine big data. MapReduce is the new programming paradigm to process big data.
