An Analysis of Selected Indian Public Sector Banks Using Camel Approach

Abstract

The development of an economy is considerably dependent upon employment as well as optimum utilization of resources and most importantly financial resources by various sectors. Banking sector plays a vital role in disbursement of financial resources in the economy. Banking sector in various ways helps in encouragement of capital formation. So to ensure a healthy financial system, it is important to evaluate and analyses banking system performance. The present study is an attempt to evaluate the performance of selected public sector banks in India using CAMEL approach.
