Abstract


 Indian women novelists are shining stars in the galaxy of Indian English Literature. They are contributing immensely in enhancing and enriching the Indian English Novels. They try to break the traditional Hindu myth of Sita and Savitri through their creative writings. They raise the problematic question of women’s emancipation of Indian patriarchal society. Anita Nair, a versatile woman writer, realistically portrays the dilemma of contemporary women caught in the tangle of modernity and tradition.
