Depression in Younger Population in Faisal Abad, Pakistan

Abstract

Determining of the severity and frequency of depression among the adolescents of Faisal Abad.

Materials and Methods: The group sampling accumulated the data by using the systematic random sampling technique. KADS for Depressive Illness was used and thereafter analysing of data with the use of SPSS 18. In a group of 300 participants, depression prevalence is 10 % with men 122 (40.6 %) and women 178 (59.3 %) whereas 1.1 %, 4.7 % and 5.3 % have severe, moderate and mile level of depression respectively.
