Abstract
An embankment refers to a volume of earthen material that is placed and compacted for the purpose of raising the grade of a roadway (or railway) above the level of the existing surrounding ground surface. A fill refers to a volume of earthen material that is placed and compacted for the purpose of filling in a hole or depression. Embankments or fills are constructed of materials that usually consist of soil, but may also include aggregate, rock, or crushed paving material. It is proposed to construct a “four laning of yadagiri-warangal section of NH-163 (new NH-202) from km54+000 to km150+000 (design length 99.103km) under NHDP PHASE-IV to be executed under EPC mode in the state of TELANGANA”.
