Automatic Recognition of Fruits and Vegetables Diseases

Abstract

Images are the important source of data and information in the agricultural sciences. The use of image processing techniques is of great significance for the analysis of agricultural operations. Fruit and vegetable classification is one of the major applications that can be used in the supermarket to automatically detect the kind of the fruit or vegetable purchased by the customer and to generate the prices for it. Training on-site is the fundamental requirement for this type of system, which is mostly done by the users having little or no technical knowledge. In this thesis, we have addressed this problem and designed a methodology for these types of problem which requires less number training examples.
