The Emergence Of Jadidism And The Period Of Mahmudkhoja Behbudi’s Activity
Abstract
The socio-political events of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in Central Asia were reflected in the activities of the Jadids. Literary scholar, Professor N. Karimov, in his scientific work, cited, “The time of beginning of Jadidism is of fundamental importance”[1]. Indeed, without determining the beginning of such a large-scale movement as Jadidism, it is impossible to explain both theoretically and practically what factors gave rise to it, what its essence is, and what kind of beliefs Mahmudkhoja Behbudi worked with.
