Abstract


In modern literature, writers raise the problems of the morality of our society, advocate for the person and his rights. When solving the problem of the identity of the people, domestic philosophers used the concepts of “soul”, “soul of a social whole”, “character of the people”, etc. All of them can be used as synonyms of national images of the world, peculiar cultural structures of different peoples. These concepts allowed Russian philosophers to explore what is defined today as mentality.
