Empowerment of Women in India- A Reality or a Myth

Abstract


The paper is concluded by highlighting the role of literacy for women empowerment and issues of violence and crime against women in India. The researchers try to analyze the present scenario in Indian society with respect to safety and security of women and the major safety steps taken by the government for Women safety.
