Domestic Violence against women and its effect on women health in urban area of Lucknow- an Observational Study

Abstract


Violence against women within the family is a global phenomenon. There are evidences that domestic violence has long term mental health consequences for the survivors, even after the domestic violence has ended. There are a number of women today who have experienced one or more forms of domestic violence at the hands of relatives. Many of the women are at risk of developing mental health problems. This study was conducted to assess the violence and its effect on women health of reproductive age group exposed to domestic violence.
