Abstract


Tuberculosis (TB) is caused by bacteria (mycobacterium tuberculosis) that most often affect the lungs. Tuberculosis (TB) is second only to HIV/AIDS as the greatest killer worldwide, affecting not only physical health, but also social, economic, psychological and nutritional well being. Males are adversely affected than females. The social repercussions may include loss of work, divorce, etc. Even though the diagnostic and treatment services are free of cost.AIM: To assess the socio-demographic profile of patient undergoing DOTS therapy.
