Age of Globalization and Global Education

Abstract


Globalization is a new social science concept, especially in educational research. The article presents three phases of globalization theory, namely, the hyperglobalist, the sceptical and the transformational. It focuses on the effects of globalization over education and the demands it has introduced to the field and the challenges it has imposed for structural changes.
