Improvement of Lars by Adopting Travel Penalty Technique

C. Ashok Praveen, C. Md. Gulzar

Abstract

This paper performs operation on the ratings based upon location which is defined as Location Aware Recommender System (LARS*). It achieves efficiency and performance by adopting the technique of user partitioning methods. It is spatiallyclose to the users who are arising queries. It supports the three main classes such as spatial ratings for non spatial item, non spatial rating for spatial item and spatial rating for spatial item. The item location can be exploited using travel penalty and preference locality. The omitted access of spatial items can be eliminated by using this technique that favours the recommendation closer in travel distance to querying users.
