Abstract

Wireless mesh network is a communication network. It is also a form of wireless Adhoc network .WMN often consist of mesh clients, mesh routers & gateways. There are lots of problems in WMN. The most common problem is the packet loss due to congestion. Congestion occurs when each time the protocol chooses the same path. In this paper we've used two protocols AODV and DSDV and compared the results of two protocols. In the algorithm used by us, we've first checked if the packet size is 75% or not, if it is 75% it consists of large data and it is directly sent to the destination. If not 75% then we apply next criteria i.e. check if the packet is greater than or equal to 50%,if  it is ,the data is forwarded to destination and if  less than 50% it might be a garbage value and hence, we drop them.
