Ocular Detection for Biometric Recognition Using Gamma Correction, Histogram Thresholding & PCA
Abstract
In this paper, a new Ocular detection method is presented. An Ocular detection system acquires a human eye image, segments the ocular region from the rest of the image, normalizes this segmented image and encodes features to get a compact ocular template. Performance of all subsequent stages in an ocular detection system is highly dependent on correct detection of boundaries in the eye images. In this paper, we present one such system which finds boundary using images.
