Startup India- A Leap towards Progress

Abstract

Due to slowdown in global economic environment, manufacturing industries in India are facing a slump and the situations are likely to be remained so. The increasing automation, slowdown, all these factors are reducing the potential of creating job in this sector. India carries the most youth population and providing them employment is a big challenge for the Government of India. As per the data of Labor Ministry, every month around 1 million people enter the labor force in Country.  The innovative and technical minds of India need no illumination and there is no doubt on it. So, this is the high time for targeting startups as the key driver of India’s economy as it is the next job generating industry in the country. This paper is an attempt to evaluate the progress of the scheme.
