Virtualization Foundation of Cloud Computing

Abstract

t-Cloud computing is a pool of resources over internet, where resources can be pooled on demand as pay per use basis. Users have to lease the platform and resources from cloud service providers to run their complex applications. Cloud is a different style of computing in world of computing, where one can access huge amount of shared resources on demand. This is possible with virtualization, by creating virtual images of different resources which can be provisioned on demand to different users. Virtualization has brought the cloud computing to the next step of technology by providing more security, isolation and resource sharing. This paper basically discusses about virtualization, virtualization architecture, types of virtualization and its various research challenges.
