Duration of Residence of Migrants in Himachal Pradesh, 1991-2001

Abstract

Migration is a multifaceted phenomenon. There are many aspects related to the study of migration. To mention a few of the aspects of migration, one can name patterns of migration, volume of migration, composition of migrants, duration of residence of migrants, reasons of migration etc. However, all these aspects have to be studied in correlation with each other to fully understand the process of migration. This research paper is an attempt to look into the duration of residence of migrants in Himachal Pradesh during 1991-2001.
