Abstract

Despite the remarkable studies that have come up on Satyajit Ray’s films, the deep ecological focus that the films possess remain as a relatively less studied area. Arguably this is the result of an impeccable synthesis of a green morality with a strong cinematic agenda that attempts to transgress the conventional notions of ecological literacy.
