Abstract


      The poem the Waste Land is considered the best piece of work that has been produced by the poet, essayist, dramatist and critic Thomas Stern Eliot. This study centers on the poem of the Waste Land and other poems that were produced earlier and late to the date of 1922 the time when Eliot published his magnum opus The Waste Land. The researcher in this study will also critically examine the thematic concerns, the poetic styles and the literary devices that are used in these selected works. Since that T. S. Eliot is not a totally dramatist and he is mainly a poet with abundance of creativity and aesthetic values. This study would contribute to the enrichment and the betterment of the knowledge and researches on the poet and his poems.
