Abstract

This study examines the process and time that distinctive Islamic art methods arose and entered into Chinese decorative concepts of China. Some aspects of the art styles of the three dynasties, Sun, Yuan and Ming, clearly illustrate China's relationship to the decorative and stylistic ideas of Islamic origin, as a result of a fruitful exchange of ideas between Chinese and Islamic cultural spheres in the Middle Ages. And also, the study helps to understand the features of the “Islamic” ornament and its distribution in the east.
