author analysis the problems of succession in respect of state archives are considered in accordance with the Vienna Convention on succession of States in respect of state property, public debts and state archives of 1983 and contemporary problems of states succession in international law, elaboration of recommendations to improve legislation in force both on international and national levels etc.
