Conflict Resolution Style and Romantic Relationship Satisfaction Among Young Adults Who are Dating
Abstract
This study aims to empirically examine the correlation between conflict resolution style and romantic relationship satisfaction among young adults who are dating. This study involved 200 young adults as participants. The adapted and modified Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS) and Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory-II (ROCI-II) were used to measure the constructs. The results of the analysis using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation showed that the four dimensions of conflict resolution style weresignificantly correlated with romantic relationship satisfaction. Integrating, obliging and compromising were positively correlated with romantic relationship satisfaction and dominating was negatively correlated, while avoiding was notsignificantlycorrelatedwith romantic relationship satisfactio
