A Survey of the Quality of Water drawn from Nine Domestic

Abstract

Only one water sample was contaminated with bacteria. The challenges to the sustainability of water resources in the groundwater aquifers are discussed. Local groundwater sustainability agencies should be established to assess conditions in their local water basins and educate well owners on how to reduce risks to their water supplies. Future aspirations of the water sector should focus on smart maintenance and sustainability of the surface/shallow groundwater pumped through widespread domestic wells.
