Analysis of Heavy Metals in Sediments and Plants from Eleyele River, Ibadan, Oyo State

Abstract


This study investigated the distribution and concentration of Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb), Nickel (Ni), Cobalt (Co), and Chromium (Cr) in sediments and plants from Eleyele River. Total of Thirty sediment samples was collected from five points along Eleyele river including; Agbaje, Save and Serve, Dam, Oba ido and Oluseyi, additional six sediment samples were collected from eleyele water corporation (treated water) to serve as control.
