The Obscured Shine of Thakurbari-A Study of Jyotirindranath Tagore

Abstract


He was the emerging icon of Thakurbari yet he became the obscured shine of the family outshined not only by his living younger brother but also by his deceased wife. The paper further deals with the absence and presence of women of Thakurbari who influenced the changing pattern of gender roles within Thakurbari with special mention to Jnadanandini Devi.
