Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a much discussed topic in present times. Gone are the days when we believed that the only motive of businesses is to make profits and the corporation is responsible only towards its shareholders. The current trend of globalization has made the firms realize that in order to compete effectively in a competitive environment they need clearly defined business practices with the sound focus on public interest and welfare of society at large.
