A Study of Environmental Awareness among Prospective Secondary School Teachers.

Abstract


A rapid progress in atomic and nuclear energy had added a huge amount of radioactive substances in the atmosphere. A number of industrial effluents and omissions especially tonic gases are spewed into the air daily. In India the very survival of man depends on the solution of this problem. Descriptive survey method was employed to study the environmental awareness of 200 prospective teachers. Self prepared questionnaire was used to study the environmental awareness of  teachers. The results revealed that there is no difference in level of awareness of prospective secondary school teacher of aided and non aided colleges regarding environment
