Abstract

Anita  Desai’s main concern is to project the inner working of her characters in general, and her female characters in particular. She in primarily interested in depicting the interior landscapes of the female characters and exposes fully the working of their minds. By peeping into their minds, Desai highlights the psychological trauma of their psyche.
