Abstract

Prerna Pradhan is a PhD Research Scholar in the Centre of Theatre and Performance Studies, at the School of Arts & Aesthetics in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. She completed her Master’s Degree in English Literature from JNU, and her M.Phil in Theatre and Performance Studies, JNU. Her area of research is Ritual, Performance and Gender studies. Currently she is working on the Kumari cult of Nepal with a specific interest in cultural and political landscape of Nepal. She has presented papers in various international conferences like IFTR (International Federation for Theatre Research), ISTR (The Indian Society of Theatre Research), ICTM (International Council for Traditional Music) and so on.
