Abstract

‘Mahasweta Devi is one of those writers who have exerted their creative valour to produce dynamic literature to depict their world. Her works, unlike her other contemporary writers are the result of her direct confrontation with existing social system. She is one of the foremost literary personalities; a prolific and best-selling author in Bengali of short fiction and novels, a deeply political social activist has been working with and for tribal and marginalized communities.
