Abstract

Smartphone devices such as iPhone, Blackberry, and those that support the Android operating system are ubiquitous. In addition to serving as a phone device, smart phones are also capable of video/picture/text exchanges, accessing the Internet and executing sophisticated embedded software applications. We believe Android provides a rich platform with a variety of concepts, techniques, and resources which can be combined to produce useful and marketable applications. In addition to its openness, all the tools in the Android development are free and no special hardware is required. We have come across various Mobile based chat applications to communicate with people. All these chat applications support text messages to send between the users. The chat application that we are proposing consists of EmoCapture, button which is added to the chat window. By EmoCapture sender can see

the image of receiver. This could be helpful to many people. People could use this feature in chat application for communication, though the primary focus of our application is on the feature i.e., EmoCapture.
