Performance of Ad Hoc Routing Protocols: Characteristics and Comparison
Abstract
Mobile ad hoc networks are infrastructure less Networks. The mobile nodes perform both as a host and a router for forwarding packets to other nodes. This document describes characteristics of ad hoc routing protocols and their performance measurements.
Three major protocols are discussed (DSDV, DSR and AODV).
Their algorithms are discussed and results are compared and analyzed.
