An Analysis To Thermal Load And Mechanicalload Coupling Of A Gasoline Engine Piston Coated With High Copper Boride Alloy.

Katravath Bicha

Abstract

With the definite-element analysis software, a three-dimensional definite-element analysis has been carriedout to the gasoline engine piston. Considering the thermal boundary condition, the stress and thedeformation distribution conditions of the piston under the coupling effect of the thermal load andexplosion pressure have been calculated, thus providing reference for design improvement. Results showthat, the main cause of the piston safety, the piston deformation and the great stress is the temperature, so itis feasible to further decrease the piston temperature with structure optimization.
